Although I have generally been a big fan of Google Maps for both driving and public transportation, I recently noticed a big gimmick while highway driving. It seems that Google maps has an unhealthy obsession with the express lane. If you choose not to take that route, it will constantly reroute you, whether or not that adds time to your trip. This makes highway driving extremely confusing because there is no way to actually know what time you will arrive at your destination.
