Who We Are:

Founded by the women of Yeshiva University’s Stern College in 1958, the YU Observer is the independent student-run newspaper of Yeshiva University with the sole focus on promoting student voices. Writers on the YU Observer staff are YU undergraduates from a variety of backgrounds.

The YU Observer’s primary mission is to serve as the voice of the students, providing a space where everyone can speak up and raise awareness upon issues that they are passionate about. Writers for the YU Observer engage with a range of topics that emphasize and amplify student perspectives surrounding their academic and collegiate experience.

The YU Observer editorial staff is dedicated to journalistic integrity, justice, and truth. Their goal is to make Yeshiva University a better place, one article at a time.

Views expressed in the YU Observer are those of the writers and do not necessarily reflect those of the editorial board or the student body, faculty, and administration of Yeshiva University.

All the YU Observer content is copyrighted and may not be reprinted without permission.
